The collapse of communism in Russia brought new freedoms, but the Russian people are still dealing with a legacy of economic hardship and years of religious oppression. Despite many regions with significant unemployment and a growing epidemic of alcoholism and drug addiction, there is a powerful spiritual hunger. But the Russian church needs more theologically trained Christian leaders to respond to this hunger.
The Russian church is responding to these challenges, but its leaders do not have access to the theological seminaries, libraries, or networks of mentors that exist in other places. RLM exists to partner with the church in Russia and the Moscow Theological Seminary, equipping Russian leaders with theological and practical training to share the Gospel of Christ powerfully. We believe God can overcome every challenge facing Russia today, and we want to serve His people as they serve their congregations and communities.
